Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus 2023 Hits Indian Market with Affordable Pricing

Mahindra has recently introduced the Bolero Neo Plus in the Indian market, which is larger compared to the current Bolero Neo. However, the company has initially launched it exclusively as an ambulance version.

Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus Ambulance Version

In a recent development, Mahindra has launched the Bolero Neo Plus ambulance version, offering a range of specialized features to meet medical transport needs. The vehicle comes equipped with a foldable stretcher, a ramp for easy access, an oxygen cylinder stand, a hook for intravenous bottles, a public announcement system, a two-toned siren, washbasin assembly, and a waste bin. Additionally, the ambulance version is equipped with a primary medical kit and a fire extinguisher.

On the exterior, the ambulance variant includes ambulance badges, reflective details, and a beacon lamp. The Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus Ambulance version is classified as a Type B ambulance and adheres to AIS:125 Part 1 government standards.

Under the hood, Mahindra has powered the Bolero Neo Plus ambulance version with a 2.2-liter diesel engine capable of producing 120 bhp of power and 280 Nm of torque. This engine option comes paired with a six-speed manual transmission and operates on a rear-wheel-drive setup. The company has opted for the 2.0-liter engine instead of the 1.5-liter diesel engine to provide additional power for the extra equipment and weight due to the ambulance version. It is expected that the passenger version of this vehicle will launch with an automatic gearbox feature.

Mahindra Bolero Neo plus Specifications

The Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus Ambulance version has seen changes in its dimensions. The ambulance version has a length of 4440mm, width of 1795mm, height of 1812mm, and a wheelbase of 2680mm. Compared to the current Mahindra Bolero Neo, this version is significantly longer by 405mm while the height has reduced by 5mm. The company has made no changes to the wheelbase and width, ensuring ample space inside for medical equipment and comfortable seating for medical personnel.

Mahindra Bolero Neo plus Price:

The price of the Mahindra Bolero Neo Plus ambulance version starts at ₹13.99 lakh ex-showroom. However, due to its usage in government hospitals, Mahindra has priced it at ₹12.31 lakh.

Mahindra Bolero Neo plus Launch Date:

As for its availability, Mahindra is likely to launch the ambulance version in the Indian market in the coming months. While an exact launch date has not been confirmed, it is expected to be available for purchase in India soon.

The vehicle is expected to start at ₹10 lakh ex-showroom in the Indian market.
