Shahbaz Sharif, Pakistan’s Prime Minister, has set up a high-level meeting to make a decision regarding the Pakistan cricket team’s travel to India for the ODI World Cup 2023.

The much-awaited cricket match between India and Pakistan in the World Cup will be played on October 15 at the world’s largest cricket stadium in Ahmedabad.

The matter was brought to the attention of the Pakistan Prime Minister after the Pakistan Cricket Control Board wrote to the government seeking advice on the men’s cricket team’s travel to India for the World Cup 2023. Subsequently, the Prime Minister of Pakistan formed a high-level committee to decide on the matter. The committee will be headed by the Foreign Minister and will include the Sports Minister, Law and Justice Minister, and some formal diplomats.

The main task of the committee will be to advise Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shahbaz Sharif, on whether Pakistan should send their men’s cricket team to India for the ODI World Cup or not.

The International Cricket Council and the Board of Control for Cricket in India expect Pakistan’s cricket team to travel to India for the World Cup on October 5.

Pakistan has one match against India in Ahmedabad, two matches in Bengaluru against Australia and New Zealand, two matches in Kolkata against Bangladesh and England, and two matches in Chennai against Afghanistan and South Africa. “If Pakistan qualifies for the semifinals, they will play the semifinal in Kolkata”.

Will the Indian team will ever fly to Pakistan to play a cricket match?

Recently, India refused to travel to Pakistan for the Asia Cup in August. The tournament, which was ideally meant to take place in Pakistan, will now be played in a different way, with India’s matches scheduled in Sri Lanka and the rest in Pakistan.
